What Is A Supercapicitor?

A high-capacity capacitor in your Vantage Pro2 or Vantage Vue sensor suite that stores electricity, generated by the solar panel, to power the transmitter at night or during periods of low or no sunlight. It stores many times more energy than standard capacitors and can accept and deliver charge much faster than batteries and tolerates many more charge and discharge cycles than rechargeable batteries.
